Once he was sure that his things were still where they were, he closed his bag up and looked at her as she touched his bike. Normally he didn't like it when people touched his bike, but he surprisingly wasn't bothered by it. He only had his bike and his truck, but he rode his bike more when he went out tracking someone or traveling, he drove his truck usually for errands or sometimes when he had a meeting to go to with the council, made less noise.
Yeah, I ride this thing more than I do driving my truck. He said, leaning against the seat and took out his pack and put it into his bag.
He looked up at her once more when she said that she didn't have a place to go. Although vampires were really welcomed, didn't mean that there wasn't some lurking around and their was a out of control pluse on the loose as well. He looked at the business card she gave him, pocketing it.
If you don't have anywhere to go right now, you can stay with me....I am heading to find a hotel....it'll only be till my business is complete but beats having to spend all the time on the street. He offered.

Jackie could imagine what the wind through her hair would feel like on that bike. She would ride all the time with her brother. As much as she appreciated the offer she was unsure what to do. [There have been no signs not to trust him. He said himself that he's not part of a biker gang or anything. He's respectable and has been very generous. I'd hate to be such a burden. I'm always a burden. I should just grow up.] She continued to ponder the offer. Her mind would find ways to bring her down in any situation. This is why she preferred to be alone. If she doesn't find herself enjoyable, how would anyone else?
A breeze takes up Jackie's hair. She loved the smell of the sea breeze. It was something unfamiliar to her. As she let her thoughts drift away, her gut wanted to take a chance. [Aw fuck it.] She looked up at him with an innocent look. "As long as it's not putting you out. It'll be like I'm not even there. I'm good at getting gone if I get to be too much." Her insides cringed knowing that she has mooched off this guy and she hasn't even known him more than a day.
Her eyes go from the bike to her guitar case. [Hmm. That might not work.] Jackie picked up the guitar and shook it a bit. The rattling pieces echoed through her ears. "I hate the sound of that." She said with a bit of sadness in her voice. "I need to find a place to drop this off first, if you don't mind."

He normally wouldn't have been generous as he was, but he actually liked Jax. He got along with her right off the bat and that was something that didn't happen to often. He normally tried to stay away from people, he still didn't know her that well but whats to say her staying with him for a couple of days can't fixed.
If you do, I'll let you know I am not the most tolerable guy out there. He said. He didn't tolerate people or their actions well, so if she did get on his nerves, he would tell her right then and there.
He also looked at the guitar case, he wasn't sure how that would work. One of the disadvantages of owning a bike. He cocked an eyebrow at her stating that they would need to drop that off first. Where exactly are we going to drop it off, be awkward riding on the bike with that thing unless it has a strap somewhere and you can strap it to your back. He said.

Jackie smiled at his comment. "I try to be respectful. Especially when it comes to personal space." She could feel her head starting to clear up a bit. Well that was short lived. It's so odd. I wonder what that's all about. She was very unsure of what was happening to her and what she was becoming. Having little to no knowledge about her 'race' of people had been very unsettling to her. She was unaware of the depths of the world she really lived in. The war, good guys vs bad guys, and all the hate towards each 'race'. "Thanks again. You're doing a lot and you don't need to." She reminded him as she looked at the ground and kicked a rock.
As thoughts of her guitar ran through her mind, Jackie wanted so badly to rip it out of the case and start playing a little bit. Knowing the one thing that she has treasured so much has been damaged so badly hurt her deep. Who knows if it's even fixable. I'd be so lost without it. ... I can always save up for another. I know it wouldn't be the same.
She whipped out another business card from her back pocket. "It's a good thing this bar does live music. They had a card for a music store." Her finger grazed the card. "According to the girl behind the bar, it isn't too far from here. I don't mind walking it down, so we don't need to worry about riding with it." Jackie looked around the parking lot. It was still pretty empty. I probably wouldn't want to leave my bike in a place that I was unfamiliar with. She gripped the case. "If you want to keep your bike company, I don't mind going off alone for a few."

He nodded at her comment on personal space. He didn't exactly liked when someone got into his personal space or business. If he wanted to tell you his history he will. The parking lot where he parked was pretty much empty, everyone seem to have parked around back for some reason, guess more room. Their were only a few parking spaces up front where he parked. That was the bad thing about this city, not enough parking space.
After over seeing the parking lot, he looked to her again when she thanked him. Ain't any trouble. He said and shrugged his shoulders.
He watched as she pulled another card from her jacket and just smirked. How many cards did you take? Your like a rolex. He joked and fished around for his flip phone and noticed one of his employees called him. Before he could call back, he looked up when she said she could go down to wherever this place was to drop her guitar off. He glanced at his bike then her before saying. Yeah I'll wait, need to make a phone call. He said.

She laughed at his comment about her being a rolodex. "I'm one of those people who try to prepare for everything. It's embedded in me." After unraveling the map and analyzing it rather quickly, Jackie was ready to drop off her main companion. It's a good thing I can find my way around almost every city. She half heartedly smiled. Ev told her he had to make a phone call. She nodded and grabbed her case.
Her legs took her down a couple blocks and a few avenues before she found the spot. The streets were very populated. Must be rush hour. People are getting out of work now. Maybe I'll catch the store before it closes. She hoped as she looked at the row of shops before her. An elderly gentleman was just flipping the store sign from open to closed when Jackie interjected. "Oh shit. Sir do you mind taking in one more customer? I just need to drop my guitar off. You don't need to fix it today or whatever but I have a feeling it'll be safer here with you than with me tonight." She pleaded as the man waved her in.
10 minutes and her last 20$ later, Jackie dropped off the guitar and was headed back to the bar. By this time she had mostly recovered from her stupor but felt pretty tired. Riding on that bus for 2 days and all this drinking sure causes a girl to be tired. The sun was just about setting when she reached the block of the bar. A group of drunken businessmen had cluttered the sidewalk in front of the bar. They all gawked at her as she strutted down the sidewalk. Her eyes rolled a few times before she reached the bar. A few of the men approached her, beers in hand and drunk as shit. Keep it in your damn pants.
Jackie's view caught Ev on the phone sitting on his bike, just on the other side of the crowd of goons. She gave them a grin before she flipped them all off and walked right past them. Before she could reach Ev, a couple of the men kept cat calling her. The biggest one of the group called out to her some bullshit cliché line. Her mind blacked it out as her blood started to boil. Jackie's anger could get the best of her sometimes, but in cases like this she knew that no matter what they couldn't lay a damn finger on her. She turned around and yelled, "You probably couldn't handle this if you tried, asshole."

He just smirked before unflipping his phone and once she walked away, called his employee back. They talked in French the entire coversation, mainly it was just when he would return and had a few questions on how to handle a few problems that came up. He stayed on the phone the entire time she was gone. He would wait for a hour for her before he would leave and just find a hotel.
He looked up once she came back, watching her walk down the street before looking away and continued talking with his employee on the other line. He could hear the cat calling and shift his eyes to watch in the corner. He never understood why guys did that but he was intrigued on what would happen next. She seemed to be rather annoyed about it, but kept on walking towards him. He hung up then and crossed his arms across his chest, watching the scene unfold.
He could sense her blood was boiling at the remark that was made and he tried not laughing at her reply back at how red and angry the guy looked. He walked over to her then and slipped an arm around her shoulder, pulling her close to him. I dont think you want to kess with this little spit fire boys might roast ya nuts off. [\b] He said.

As she walked over to Ev, he put his arm around her and made a comment. A shit eating grin wiped over Jackie's face. "We are a pair of bad asses who should not be messed with. Especially in the state you guys are in, not worth our time." She shrugged and looked up at Ev. Although by looking at the situation, 4 men vs the 2 of them seemed a little out numbered. Jackie knew she had a trick up her sleeve and she only assumed Ev did to. If it even came to that. She could feel an itch rush over her as the group of men headed back inside. Would've been nice to get into a little bit of a brawl to calm the nerves. She thought to herself with a smile.
"That was uneventful." Jackie pouted as she took a step away from Ev. "But I know you don't like a whole lot of trouble. I'm just surprised that they backed off so quick." A moment later, she realized she spoke too soon. The four returned with weapons in hand; pipes and chains. Jackie stayed stern. She figured she could take 2 max, especially with the way she's been feeling. But not 3 to 4. Her eyes had a sight panic but her face stayed completely calm. Her eyes shifted from the group to Ev. He seemed to be pretty calm, keeping his cool. "Now this is very unexpected. What kind of businessman carries that around with him, honestly." At least I feel a little more at home now.
Her hands rose and took off her sunglasses. After a moment of composure, Jackie took a deep breath and remained propped up against the bike. "You ought to be careful who you talk to you like, sweetcheeks. We need to teach you and your old man a lesson." The main drunk barked out. Jackie started to laugh a little bit and looked over at Ev. "What do you want to do? I don't know what you're protocol with something like this is." Another chuckle emerged from her. "Doesn't it sound like a complete cliche?...*she mocks the man* ...It's cracking me up." Typical Jackie, laugh in the face of danger. She might as well have went up to the man and laughed directly in his face.
The group looked at one another and started to make their way over to the twosome, angry and enraged. Jackie kept her eyes on Ev and waited for his response.

Watching the group walk back inside made him think it was to easy. He watched the door, not saying anything when she stepped away from him. If the humans did come back, it would he a unfair advantage on his and Jaxs part. Seems to easy if you ask me. He said and turned to walk away when he heard the group come back out along with the metallic sound of chain and pipe. He sigh softly and kept his back turn to the group. He took off his leather jacket and sunglasses, not wanting them to get messed up.
He glanced at Jax. Kind of a unfair advantage. He said to her, wondering Iif she would take that he wasn't human and he knew she wasn't one either.
The first guy took a swing at his head, which he merely caught up before it hit him and broke it. The man gasped and backed away now. He looked to Jax now. Your turn chatty katty. He said, dropping the piece of broken pipe as it hit the other piece laying on the ground.

Jackie followed suit and took off her leather jacket. I need the most mobility I can get. She raised an eyebrow at his remark about the fight being unfair. She shook off the comment and got ready to take care of some business. Trying not to look too impressed with Ev's first move. Holy shit. He's got his bases covered. Being slightly distracted, the skinniest of the group had the jump on Jackie. He whipped the chain around her arm and pulled her closer to him. After she lunged forward due to the element of surprise, she tugged back on the chain forcefully downward and brought her knee up simultaneously. Her knee collided with his stomach and with her free hand she hit him in the face.
The man laid on the ground writhing in pain. Now that she knew that Ev could handle his own, she charged the big guy. The one who started all the shit in the first place. She jumped up and punched him in the face. In her mind Jackie knew this wasn't the best idea but she wanted to send him a message. This sent the guy stumbling back. Good thing for her that he was a bigger guy who wasn't very quick. It took him a little bit to gain his momentum back but when he did he was looking to strike Jackie down. She stood there looking at her nails. "About time. Jeez, you're not too good at this are you." Her smile quickly faded when he ran to her and grabbed her. The disadvantage for her was that she was petite and easy to pick up. He squeezed her arms in and picked her up. Jackie hocked a loogie in his face and knocked her skull against his.
His hands released her and they both break space. In a moment of confusion, due to the head butt, Jackie needed a moment to catch her balance. When she stabilized, the brute slammed the pipe against her face. This sent Jackie to the ground. Blood coursed through the cut but this only made his defeat a sure thing. From the ground Jackie mustered all her strength for one last hit. She raised her fist and uppercutted the man sending him stumbling back yet again and finally to the ground. The cut on her face had started to run blood down her cheek and her chin. I've had worse. Jackie turned to Ev as she wiped some of the blood and gave the man on the ground one last kick. "Asshole."

The guy who tried hitting him practically ran off, not even going back inside the bar. Damn, that didnt take much. Now there were only three left. The next guy was planning on attacking her as she and the big guy fought. He merely picked up the pipe and knocked the guy in the back of the head before he could do anything and dragged his body near the dumpster.
He watched as Jax was handling her confrontation and at first He was worried she was going to loose when she was slashed across the face and was about to interfene when she knocked the guy on his ass. He watched with interest as she kicked the guy. He got a red bandana out from his bike and handed it to her.
Come on jackie chan lets get your face healed up. He said, heading over to his bike and turned it on, letting it roar to life.

Jackie grabbed the bandana and held it on her face. Her teeth gritted as she applied pressure to stop the bleeding. "Ah, don't worry about me. I bet it'll be okay by the time we get to the hotel." She smiled and put on her leather jacket. Her nodded in appreciation for the bandana. "You really know how to handle yourself. Not that I'm surprised or anything. But it's refreshing hanging out with someone who can hold their own like me." She smiled and gave him a little nudge. And it's kinda hot......Keep it in your pants Jackie. Her hand grabbed the leather backpack on the floor and swung it around to her shoulder. Being as tired as she was, this threw her off balance a little bit and gave her one hell of a head rush, in addition to the head wound. Her eyes closed and she took a deep breath. Keep it together. Just breath, don't pass out.
Her body jerked with the roar of the bike. "I definitely won't be able to handle anything else right now." Jackie laid her hand on her forehead and accidentally touched her wound. She winced a little bit and took a moment to center her energy. Sometimes she got like this. After a big fight or being up for a longer period of time, her body wanted to just give out on her. It was like it's way of telling her she needed to rest. I'm such a pussy. Just get over it. It was your fault after all why we got into the fight in the first place.
All she wanted to do was be some place safe and rest. If her memory served her right she did pass a hotel on her way to the guitar shop. Although she wasn't too keen on spending a night close to this place. She stood up straight and looked at Ev. "Do you know where to go? I saw a place a little further down but I don't think it would be wise to stay around here. We kinda blew this place up. My fault, sorry."

She'd be surprise how many people could hold their own. He took the conpliment though. Not so bad yourself, Jackie-chan. He said and nudged her back. He waited as she picked up her discarded belongings and jumped on the bike. Once she was on, he shift into gear while purposedly spraying gravel all over the semi conscious men and headed down the road. He tried to make the ride as easy as possible for her.
He found a really nice hotel along the San Francisco beach and parked the bike in a underground parking lot. He pulled into a parking spot and turned the bike off. You alright? He asked, getting off and held the bike steady for her so she could get off while grabbing his own bag, throwing it over his shoulder. He didn't know how the hotel workers were going to take her having a bloodied up face and a huge gash on her cheek. He bent down some, getting more eye level with her and close to her face and examined the wound alittle more closely. Asshole really got ya. He commented.

The bike ride was refreshing, as she predicted. Ev drove down to the water as she held onto him. She liked the way he drove. It was cautious and yet fast enough to get the breeze, exactly what she could've asked for. They pulled into the waterfront hotel and he was very gentlemanly holding the bike steady for her to get off of it. "Yeah I'll be okay." She stumbled off the bike a bit but caught herself before meeting the pavement. "I'm surprised that it's still bleeding to be honest. It doesn't feel as deep as it is I guess. But I do feel a little light headed, if you couldn't tell." Ev looked closer at her wound, he even put his hand on her face. She wasn't going to lie, she liked the feeling of being cared for. I don't think anyone has ever cared for me that wasn't my foster family. Her baby blues met his. She could see the concern in them. Her mind couldn't register why anyone would care for a stranger, more or less for Jackie. Then again, she thought back to her foster mother who took on 4 delinquents just because she wanted to. Jackie had to keep reminding herself to stop being selfish, but deep inside she would probably do the same thing for Ev if she was in the position.
"There was no way I was going to let him walk away from doing this to me." She tried to smile but her face was bruising and she didn't want to open the cut more. The pain had increased over time, but that was normal with any wound. Her hair kept getting stuck to the blood her face. She ripped off the hairtie from her wrist and pulled the mass of hair into a ponytail. "I think we are thinking the same thing. I might as well wait out here while you talk to the staff. I'm not what anyone wants to look at at the moment" Her eyes went from the hotel to Ev.
As Ev walked to the hotel, Jackie leaned up against the motorcycle and watched the water. She enjoyed the moon playing on the water as it rose into the sky. First impression of this city is not too god damn good. It's like the moment I rolled into this town it's been bullshit after bullshit. Besides Ev. He's been doing so much for me and I don't know why. I gotta do something for him back. I don't know what. Maybe I can help him with business stuff, if he wants to talk about it. Her mind raced as her head kept pounding. She dabbed the bandana on her gash and waited for Ev to return.

He could tell she was alittle light headedm hr could smell the blood and it had a more sweeter smell to it than normal human blood. He could control himself very well and let that small thought past as he straightened back up now once she reassured him she was okay and came to the same conclusion as he did about waiting outside. He would bring her around back once he got them a room. I'll go get us a room, I'll be back. He said.
He went to the front desk, asking for a two bed room. All the had was a suite that would have two separate rooms but it was ocean front. He took it, paying for a few nights and grabbed the key from the desk attendant. He grabbed his bag away from the bell hop and headed outside again. Got us a suite. He said, walking her to the back entrance of the fancy looking hotel and went to the elevator, carrying her things and his.
They were near the top floor. He looked down at the room number and found it, sliding the card in and unlocked the door. The suite looked more like a small apartment. It had its own kitchen and two doors that the bedrooms were located. It also had a living room down the hall where a huge balcony over looked to San Francisco beach. He closed the door behind her and handed her, her bag.
