There were quite a few places in Ireland that Lily had never been, and the McCormicks had decided to take a vacation to see some of their relatives in London. They'd decided Lily could handle herself for a weekend after making sure that the fridge was stocked, and intended to give her some spending money for looking after the dogs while they were away. She'd already taken both of the labs out for a walk, and at her foster family's suggestion, she'd gone to check out a stone circle.
She wasn't actually out here for any spiritual or magical reasons, as they might have been, but she could definitely admit it was beautiful. She liked Ireland a lot for its beauty, and had brought her watercolors and some good paper so that she could try to capture the area. She was still practicing, but it never hurt to get some fieldwork done.
With her brush spreading the color across the paper, Lily started to paint the larger parts of the picture, oblivious to any and all people around her. She was too focused on capturing the landscape to notice any attempts to interact with her until something in her line of sight grabbed her attention, only just preventing herself from painting the first hints of a being into her picture.
"Hello?" she ventured. From what she'd seen so far, people weren't exactly common here, or at least not in the center of the rocks. Friendly as she was, Lily was cautious. She didn't know who this person was--at least, not from as far away as she was--and today wasn't exactly a prime combat day, either. It'd be a complete mess if she ended up having to defend herself and destroyed the art she was working so hard to create.
Just so this wouldn't be the case, she placed the book down next to her, making sure her paintbrushes were all thoroughly cleaned before turning back to the visitor.
