FULL NAME:: Kwon Jin
NICKNAMES:: Jin, Ji Ji, The Golden Dragon of Seoul, Mr. Change, anything else his father comes up with
GENDER:: Male
ACTUAL AGE:: 24
APPARENT AGE:: Mid-twenties
SPECIES/RACE:: Shape-shifter
PREFERRED PRONOUNS:: He/Him/His
SEXUAL ORIENTATION:: Heterosexual
FACECLAIM:: Kim Woo Bin
NATIONALITY:: South Korean
HEIGHT:: 6'2"
HAIR:: Brown
EYES:: Brown
SKIN:: Fair
DISTINGUISHING MARKS:: Perfect hair, all the time, every time.
APPEARANCE:: Jin makes no secret of his appearance: he's attractive, and he knows it. Groomed from birth for success, Jin not only enjoys looking good, he takes pride in it. With the aid of a few skin-care creams, he keeps his complexion nearly flawless, and will spend hours if needed making sure his hair is perfect before leaving home.
They say that the clothes make the man. In Jin's case, he makes the clothes as much as they make him. If it's not custom-tailored, flown in from a foreign country or made out of the husk of some nearly-extinct species, then there's a 99% chance you won't find it in his closet. Dolce & Gabbana, Dormeuil, even cheap Paul Smith makes Jin's wardrobe look like a designer runway. He'd say that makes him a model, but let's be honest here: the models with they were him.
PERSONALITY:: If it couldn't be garnered from the Appearance section, Jin is incredibly vain. Above all else, he cherished his appearance, and the way he appears to others. Having been raised his entire life to appease his father and his father's friends, he has some slight issues about the way he looks, acts and is perceived. Whenever he's in the presence of company, his attitude is one you would expect of a typical, snobby rich kid: stuck-up, full of himself and very confidant in himself. He will often go out of his way to insult or humiliate the obviously poor, especially in crowded environments, and tends to punctuate his words with scoffs or short, annoying laughs.
In private, though, he acts nothing like that. While he enjoys looking good, Jin only acts that way to impress others, because in truth, his shape-shifting makes him incredibly uncomfortable with the way he looks. He will consistently change his form whenever he catches himself in any reflective surface, no matter what he looks like at the time. He doesn't enjoy hurting people or putting others down, it's just the way he has to act. He often shifts into people he's seen and walks around town, enjoying the sights and sounds of normal, everyday life. By blending in with the crowds, he's gained some appreciation for the struggles of lower-class people.
There's no way he'd ever consider trading his rich, exuberant lifestyle for it, but it's nice to look at.

HISTORY:: If asked, Jin will say that his childhood was fairly average. Of course, unlike other children who's parents were not corporate Korean mobsters, he got everything he ever wanted. Born and raised in the capitol of South Korea, Kwon Jin was raised almost completely in isolation inside the corporate headquarters of the Daewoo Group, where his father had served as the head of Financial Securities for. . . a long time. Nobody ever really gave him an accurate number when he asked, or acknowledged him at all. Nobody met Jin eyes when they talked to him. He could never tell if they were scared or disgusted with him.
It wasn't consequential, in the long run. Sure, his dad wasn't always there, and sure he was sometimes treated more like carry-on luggage than a child, but that didn't matter much. Attention, Jin learned, was something that he didn't really need or want. By the time he was fourteen, he had become accustomed to the feeling of being a living ghost, taking advantage of his position to roam wherever he felt like roaming. He especially liked hanging around the higher-level corporate offices, studying the faces of the businessmen that made the conference rooms and cubicles their homes away from home. He never understood why he enjoyed studying them so, but he always had his suspicions about himself. Even though he was fine with the way he was, deep down he wanted that change. To be someone who people looked at. To be seen.
That notion was changed itself, however, when he woke up one morning and had looked in the mirror, only to see the face of someone else's face staring back at him. He found out what he was: a shapeshifter. Kumiho, his father called him, and they were both the same. They both shared the genetic fallacy, something inside them that let them become whoever they wanted, without having to consume others. His father had lived with the "gift" for almost 140 years, and Jin would live with it, too. As he was embraced by his father, he knew that he should have felt relieved, or happy, or something. He was being noticed for the first time in his life. So why did this emergence only make his skin itch? Why did it make him feel so . . . strange?
From then on, Jin was ushered into his father's true line of work: crime. Corporate crime, no less, making other companies to bend to the Daewoo Group's will. They would kidnap important businessmen, impersonate them for days, weeks, and eventually force the company into bankruptcy or inconsolable debt, and leave them only one way out - to sell. Daewoowould swoop in, buy out the broke company, then gut and steal every last dollar left until there was nothing left. It then became a shell company, for Daewoo and it's partners to funnel illicit gains and profits through. Jin's father was the spearhead of this operation, and Jin was to join him, make the perfect father-son team.
The crime never bothered Jin. The self-defense and weapons training never bothered him. It was the way that his father and his associated treated him, like he was one of them, like he was instantly one of the team that made him uncomfortable. For so long he had felt alone, left behind, and suddenly he was thrust into this group like he had been there all his life. His powers were what they wanted, what they cherished, not Jin himself. He didn't know how to react, or how to belong, so he just did what came natural: copied the attitudes of the men he worked with. Rich, egotistical, narcissistic, he assimilated it all into his outward personality, fit in as best he could.
After a few years, Jin was approached by his father and given an opportunity: make his way to America and approach an advertising company there, using his "gift" to make the company's CEO submit to Daewoo by kidnapping their only daughter, the one next in line for leadership, and impersonating her for a time. He was to learn the best way to attack from the inside, and when the time was right, they would take it down like the rest.
Don't make himself known, don't consort with Pluses, weres, vampires or anyone. Take out Maia Jeong, by any means necessary.
But then again, when have children ever listened to their parents?
