FULL NAME:: Ambriel
NICKNAMES:: Bri
GENDER:: Genderless, but presents as female
ACTUAL AGE:: Ageless
APPARENT AGE:: 23
SPECIES/RACE:: Angel (Knight)
PREFERRED PRONOUNS:: She/her/hers
SEXUAL ORIENTATION:: Demisexual
FACECLAIM:: Jade Thompson
NATIONALITY:: English/Jamaican
HEIGHT:: 5'0"
HAIR:: Red
EYES:: Brown
SKIN:: Light tan
DISTINGUISHING MARKS:: Freckles dot Ambriel's entire body.
APPEARANCE:: Ambriel is petite in size and a bit heavy for her height. She's curvier than most of the angels she's used to spending time with, who are externally tall and athletic. Bri, by comparison, fits in with the humans quite well and can even manage to go unseen. Her open, bright face tends to stand out, though, and her complexion is heavily freckled. Her muscle hides itself well, and she's usually underestimated because of her stature.
Bri's red hair is usually only neat when she has an hour to put into straightening it. It is naturally curly and tends to frizz in moisture, making her hair an auburn cloud around her face. She likes it, but others seem to think it looks unprofessional, so she has to put in an effort to look "presentable" when she gets up and has to go somewhere important. Not that she minds putting in an effort--she tends to expend a good amount of time on her appearance just to make sure she can look her best--but she wishes that others liked her hair as it stands as much as she does.
PERSONALITY:: Ambriel is not a proponent of chaos. She likes established order, she likes rules, and she likes enforcing rules. She's not mean, necessarily, she's just... a bit rigid. That probably comes from her Knight status. She doesn't tolerate laziness, or at least, not in anything she runs. She's usually gentle but firm about enforcing rules. Make her angry, though, and she turns into the archetypical Ice Queen, not daring to show her anger for fear of dropping into Wrath territory but making very, very certain you know what you've done wrong and how exactly you can fix the problem. She's much more the stoic disappointed parent than the one to raise their voice.
Bri is dedicated to what she does... and truth be told, what she does isn't very nice. She's set out to protect the humans from whatever may threaten them, and she's a sort of a defender figure, but she also tends to take out threats preemptively if given the chance and the reason. She won't start making a move toward any of the Keys until one of them starts looking like they're going to start something, but she has no qualms about removing some other demons from the picture. She regularly hunts down crossroads demons, and though she has a connection to fallen angels, those that attempt to kill humans will quickly find themselves on the other end of a blade.
All that considered, Ambriel is very curious about the humans and seeks to integrate with them as much as possible. If she's given the opportunity to meet a human or any non-divine or demonic being, she'll likely try to strike up a conversation and get to know them. She isn't particularly good at attachment, and she travels a lot, but she likes getting to know others so she can learn more about humanity as a whole. She knows she still has a lot to learn, and she hopes that she can do so before any of the Keys decide to rain down the apocalypse on everyone's heads.

HISTORY:: Ambriel was created to be good at keepin' on. She'd always had a nice, regimented schedule that included her work and her training and rounded meals, and she grew up on a strict order that she was very comfortable with. She got very good at fighting, both physically and verbally, for what she believed and wanted. In essence, Bri was created as the epitome of pig-headed stubbornness. There was no emotion behind it, though, no fire in her; much like a machine meant only to work tirelessly and without complaint.
After a while, she grew to attach emotions to the things she supported. Bri preferred the company of those she was defending to be those that believed in her creator, she disliked the way that chaos presented itself, and she overall learned how to like and dislike certain things. She started experiencing emotions, though her empathy and recognition for the emotions of others still was not particularly developed. She clung to them as soon as she started to feel them, and soon became very prone to making rash choices and not thinking things through as well as she should have, acting only on her feelings of what was right and what was wrong.
Ambriel soon found that she was less devoted to her creator than she was to upholding the ideals he'd given her. This was a point of conflict between her and some of the other angels, who thought that their creator himself was more important than the ideas he wanted to impart on the humans. This led Ambriel to distance herself from many other angels, though when many of them fell, she was not among them. She didn't believe in what Lucifer preached, so why would she give up what she had? She spent the next several thousand years doing the same of what she'd done before until eventually spending time with the humans made her curious about what they believed, what they held dear to them, and so on. She's gained a little bit of empathy since then, but not much.
Nowadays, Bri spends her time enforcing the law in Chicago. It's the only safe haven for humans, after all, and it's got All Saints Church so she doesn't have to deal with demons quite as often as she might otherwise have found. She keeps herself pretty busy by working and exercising, and can be found pretty easily running around the city on her off days. She tries not to take vacation days, and is extremely vigilant in keeping her eye out for crime.
