FULL NAME:: Scarlette Victoria Hennesy
NICKNAMES:: Iris; very few people earn the right to call her Scarlette.
GENDER:: Female
ACTUAL AGE:: 450
APPARENT AGE:: Mid-20's, Early 30's
SPECIES/RACE:: Vampire
PREFERRED PRONOUNS:: She, Her, Hers
SEXUAL ORIENTATION:: Bisexual
FACECLAIM:: Gina Bellman
NATIONALITY:: British
HEIGHT:: 5'6
HAIR:: Dark Brown
EYES:: Brown
SKIN:: Slightly tan
DISTINGUISHING MARKS:: N/A
APPEARANCE:: Iris stands at about five foot six, with long, dark brown hair and a somewhat curvy build. Very rarely does she wear more than a little make-up, letting her natural beauty speak for itself. Her default expression is one of slight amusement, with glinting eyes and a slight smirk. Do not mistake this for happiness or contentment; in fact she is more akin to a cat, looking for a mouse to play with.
Iris's fashion sense is one she would call "of taste." Nothing in her wardrobe is cheap, and some of it even goes back to her days as a young woman in the late fifteen hundreds, and spans all styles and eras since then. She has to hand it to modern style, though, they show off her figure quite nicely. She's never seen in a pair of pants, preferring a skirt or, on special occasions, an afforementioned dress from her youth. She prefers dark, bolder colors.
PERSONALITY:: Some might say Iris is somewhat of a spoiled brat, and they'd be wrong. Iris is very much caught up in a spoiled brat mentality. She knows just what she wants, and if she wants it, she's going to get it, one way or another. And she believes any tactics are fair game, be it threatening, seducing, or even blackmail, if need be.
However, she's not all bad. If treated with respect, she'll give it right back. A very honest sort, she is a woman of her word. If she says she'll be there at ten, she'll be there at ten; if she says in detail what she's going to do to you...well, yeah. Deep down, she's really easy to please, and easily amused by "lesser" races. She doesn't hate other races, she just knows beyond all else that vampires are just better. She's one of them, after all.
Just about all of Iris's negative emotions manifest themselves as anger, be it a cold, chilling one from actually being angry, or an explosive, snappy anger from being scared, or the ominous, silence when she's sad. Iris wears her emotions on her sleeve, so it's not hard to tell if she's in a good mood, or a bad one. She doesn't have many true friends, which is why close to no one calls her Scarlette. It's nothing personal, she just doesn't let people in too far. But if someone were to get this close with her, they'd have someone on their side who'd do whatever it takes to keep them.
She's not too fond of the younger crowd asserting authority, but she'll usually obey if it's within reason.

HISTORY:: Iris was born Scarlette Victoria Hennesy in 1564, and would eventually become the middle child of seven children in England. The daughter of a wealthy English family, she was told what to wear, how to act, and even who she would have to marry. And she was okay with it because at the time, this was all she knew. As she got older, she got more adventurous, wondering what was out there, beyond the pretty little world her parents had painted for her.
So, once she became a teenager, she snuck out, and often getting in serious trouble for doing so. But hey, once all was said and done, she was still rich, so...all was well. She didn't like the guy she was betrothed to, but hey, he was rich too. So she'd have alot of money, and spend the rest of her life, having some jerk's babies. The more she'd thought on this, the more she wondered if it was for her. Not that she had a choice in the matter.
So, she got married not long after, and discovered her new husband was even more of a jerk than before. But, to maintain some level of peace, she settled, trying her best not to get herself in trouble. But as she got older, her rebellious tendencies surfaced back up and she began to sneak out to neighboring cities at night, where no one knew her.
It was during these adventures that she met a mysterious, handsome gentleman named Vincente. They talked, and she found him rather...charming. Until night when things got creepy. He brought up her home life, and how he could make that go away. Naturally, she agreed, not thinking to question how he knew in such detail. The rest is all a blur to her, but when she awoke, she was in a basement, and she felt...different.
Vincente met her, explaining to her what had happened, and then he took her on her first hunt--home, where she gladly killed her own husband. Later, Vincente convinced her to kill the rest of her family, cutting all of her ties to her previous life, and he gave her the name Iris. As beautiful as she was deadly. Vincente took what he could from the estate, and she thought twice before confronting him.
Iris grew to enjoy her new nickname, and her new life, or death, what have you, as a vampire, though she never shook the guilt that grew from killing her own family; something that would eat at her for centuries to come. But...Vincente had taught her that power came with a price. And despite his manupalitive tendencies, she had to admit she adored her sire. She found it odd that he'd given her the nickname Iris, yet as time went on, he began calling her Scarlette again, only this time there was a sort of affection to it.
For years to come, Iris and Vincente would travel Europe, showing her new lands and customs, as promised. But soon, the time had come for her to strike out on her own, and make a name for herself. It was at this point, that Vincente presented her with the resources he'd taken from the estate all those years ago.
She and her sire stayed in touch, and Iris traveled Europe, taking any job she could, and using it--and her natural-born-assets--to lure victims to their fate. However, she never made any real lasting bonds, never sired any 'children' of her own. She never cared to, for some reason or another. Nor had she really found anyone she deemed worthy.
Eventually, she discovered she enjoyed working bars. On top of finding potential meals, her job was also a means of gathering information; usually gossip, but every now and then she caught wind of vampire talk. This, she would use as a hint to get out of town, or to warn any others, if need be. Her usefullness with this information led her to rise up the ranks among her fellow vampires.
When New York was taken for the vampires, Iris made her way there, where she's stayed ever since, working at Twisted Sisters' Bar, and on occasion, traveling on business for the Council.
