{ Grilig (Nimdok) }
FULL NAME:: Grilig.
NICKNAMES:: Ghost, Nimdok(human).
GENDER:: Male.
ACTUAL AGE:: 16 years.
APPARENT AGE:: 40-50 years.
SPECIES/RACE:: Other/Lurker.
PREFERRED PRONOUNS:: It, He.
SEXUAL ORIENTATION:: Asexual.
{ APPEARANCE } |
FACECLAIM:: Patrick Stewart.
NATIONALITY:: Canadian.
HEIGHT:: 7 ft. 3 in.
HAIR:: Black.
EYES:: Orange with orange scelera (Lurker). Orange (Human).
SKIN:: Reddish-black(Lurker). Caucasian(Human).
DISTINGUISHING MARKS:: Bone plate covering stomach is missing(Lurker). Since it is just flesh stretched over it's original form, some parts are misshapen or lumpy, namely the legs, feet, hands, and area behind the shoulders.
APPEARANCE:: Face is covered by interlocking symmetrical bone plates. When plates are pulled back four eyes in a "V" pattern are revealed, along with the stringy, fleshy thermal organ and flesh of face. The jaws have a main jaw and four mandibles which fold into the mouth. On the roof of it's mouth is it's venom injector. It's neck is made of soft bone.
Two bony protrusions line its back symmetrically and look like the beginnings of wings, these can be flexed and stop before reaching it's lower back. It's chest and back are made of similar plates (symmetrical and interlocking) which appear to highlight muscle groups and the spine. A plate which would cover a section in the middle of it's belly is missing.
At it's shoulders are what would look like muscles, but are actually more soft bones. Arms are humanoid and 2 ft. in length. Arm ends in three claws, each 6 in. in length with a joint at three inches. There are two upper claws with a jagged edge facing downward, and a point at the end. lower claw is similar, except facing upwards. When clenched, lower claw occupies the space between the upper claws and the upper claws rest beside where the lower claw meets the hand.
The legs begin humanoid like, with what looks like a thigh, knee, and calf, the calf, however, connects to another section of leg that has a length of 1 ft. and connects to the foot. When standing, the legs look something akin to a kangaroo prepared to jump. They are covered in bone plates, except where the thighs meet the waist, where there is soft bone. The foot ends in three clawed toes.
Disguised form results in flesh being stretched out over it's body. Face is passable, and lips can be animated by mandibles. Same with chest and arms. The bony protrusions have been covered in flesh, and look somewhat like tumors running down it's back. Can be concealed under thick or heavy cloth when perpetually flexed inward. Gives appearance of being hunched.
Hands are covered in skin. Results in three, pointed looking digits in same formation as described before. Hands are kept in pockets unless none are around to view them. Legs are as described before, but with flesh covering them. Feet are three toed, and often wrapped in cloth so as to avoid suspicion. Legs are often concealed by trench coat.

PROFESSION:: Hunter is the best definition for what he does.
PARENTS:: None that it knows of.
SIBLINGS:: None.
CHILDREN:: None.
EXTENDED FAMILY:: None.
MARITAL STATUS:: No spouse or mate and doesn't care.
HISTORY:: Grilig does not know where it comes from, he does not know how he was born. He remembers awaking on the floor of a dense forest. And the hunger. The pain had tore at him, and because of it he had first learned how to hunt. He listened and looked hard, jumping from tree to tree. His first kill was a rabbit, and he came to know his forest well. He first encountered a human when they had stopped in his forest to rest. They were superstitious and believed him to be some type of forest fairy. They paid respect to him and asked him questions, none of which he could answer, for he knew no English. They taught him English and basic math, along with news of the world outside his forest. This piqued his interest as he had not explored outside his forest. He wished to set out, to explore and learn from this world, but he had been told that some humans responded negatively to creatures like him, and so the person, whom he came to know was called Drina, taught him some strange ritual which caused flesh to stretch over him and mask him. This didn't change what was underneath though, so he still looked inhuman. So she lent him an old trench coat and hat, which she said were her deceased husband's. They were uncomfortable, but fit well enough to disguise him.
And so he set out. He quickly learned of the human capacity for kindness, and their capacity for harm. Many were nice enough to lend him some water at times, or shelter in the colder regions of Canada. He never went hungry, as wildlife was plentiful. Others were not as nice. Some would not help him, which he did not blame them for. Others would call him negative things, like "flasher" or at one point, "pedophile". This didn't affect him, but he still felt like they preceded blows. But the worst were those who attempted to physically harm him. He mostly ignored threats, but some attempted to harm him, those he killed. Unless it was in front of other humans, then he ran. Once they had cornered him in an alley and attempted to mug him, he had killed them all and even ate some of one of them. He then learned that human flesh tastes deliciously different from animal flesh.
He learned that there were technological marvels, things he couldn't even begin to understand. Metal...things, that moved fast and carried humans. They also ran off of a horrid smelling brownish liquid. Boxes which had a single eye and did all sorts of amazing things at the press of a button. He also learned that there were others. Creatures that weren't human, but weren't quite animal either. It sought to encounter every type of these and learn as much about them as possible. He would learn as much as possible about this world.
Eventually, when his appetite ran high and wildlife ran low, he would have to eat a human. It was never painful for them, he had perfected killing quickly in the years of living in the forest. But he realized that if humans tasted different than animals, than the strange species he'd heard about could taste different as well. He set a new goal then. After learning all he could about their species, he would hunt, kill, and eat one of their species. He is currently trekking across North America looking for knowledge and fine cuisine.

{ OUT OF CHARACTER } |
OOC NAME:: Sinistar.
ROLEPLAYING EXPERIENCE:: Just began.
ANY NOTES:: Ran extra strengths by admin, they were approved.
ROLEPLAY SAMPLE:: Grilig was hungry. He had not eaten yesterday, and the pain tore at his stomach. His clicks told him where the trees were, and which were safe to land on. He didn't see them, he just knew. He landed on a tree and braced his feet and right hand against the trunk, digging his claws in. The crest upon his head lifted revealing a fleshy spot of tissue. He scanned the area with his thermal sensor. Finding nothing but plants, he continued onward. The pain intensified with each leap, and each scan revealed the same results.
He stopped at a clearing to rest and scanned it. There, in the middle of the clearing, was a bipedal orange figure. He opened his eyes and viewed what appeared to be a human. "Maybe they have food." He thought."Maybe they are food." Followed after. He shook the thought away. Sometimes killing a human was more trouble than it was worth. It decided to approach it, and ask it for food. If it responded negatively to his appearance, or didn't have food with him, he would eat it. He didn't need his disguise, no one would believe them. Monsters in the woods? Preposterous! And with determination, he began walking towards the human.
Or at least he thought it was human. There seemed that something was strange about it's heat, about it's look, about it's smell. Probably nothing, but it didn't change his resolve either way. He had no way of knowing what he was walking into. He had no possible option otherwise from his perspective. But as fate would have it, this was no ordinary human. It was not just some hiker or camper. And it did not take kindly to being eaten. Or attempted eating, for that matter. But, again, how could he have known?
