APPEARANCE:: Sudhir is a neat man. Though he and his wife both enjoy him to have a bit of stubble, he is very meticulous in keeping it just the right length. His hair is comprised entirely of soft, dark curls that reach down his neck. His sideburns are always well kept, and his jawline is sharp. Sudhir likes to wear more casual clothing when outside of the lab, tending to prefer tee shirts and various types of coats, though he has been seen wearing "tacky" floral print a few times.
Dr. Chaudri prefers to walk and sit with good posture and is not a slouchy sort of person unless he's sad. He usually carries a tablet when not in the lab for taking notes and recording thoughts. Though he is rarely nervous, he tends to blink a lot and wring his hands when such a situation arises. Sudhir tries his hardest to remain calm and secure, and this is usually evidenced by his either neutral or happy expressions--he rarely does anything further south than neutral, even if he's feeling something intense.
PERSONALITY:: Externally, Sudhir is not a particularly emotional man. Though he does get excited, he is not moody or prone to becoming angry easily. He is far more swayed by logical appeals than ones that try to get to his heart. He is able to stay cool under pressure, and is often the go-to person when things start to heat up.
Internally, however, Sudhir feels things quite intensely. His love for his wife, daughter, and sister all burn passionately, and though less intense, the love he has for his parents back in Ohio also still resides within him. Sudhir is a very loving, caring man, and displays this side of himself liberally for those he cares about most. He is quite difficult to befriend, however, as this side only opens up after one has chipped away at the ice that he becomes in professional environments.

HISTORY:: Sudhir's story begins in Columbus, Ohio. After immigrating from India, his parents had settled down and had two children. Apala, the elder, was intensely forward and headstrong, where her younger brother Sudhir was meek and introverted. He was bullied in school at times, both for being bookish and for the color of his skin, but whenever his sister was around, such threats were quickly dismissed. Apala loved her brother intensely and he loved her in return, both for her company and for her passionate defense of his well-being.
When Apala was a teenager, she discovered that when she was hit, she had the ability to take the energy she'd been hit with and send it back at the attacker in the form of increased strength. Sudhir found this fascinating, and the two would go out into a park and test her abilities (usually by Sudhir hitting her with a stick repeatedly in the stomach--she was well-toned, and Sudhir was not very strong) to see what she was capable of. The results were both terrifying and exhilarating. Soon, the pair found others like Apala, and this was where Sudhir discovered his passion for biology. The fact that the human body could contain such incredible variants fascinated him, and he wanted to see what else nature had to offer hidden away in its genes.
Though his education was at times dull, Sudhir excelled at the sciences and earned several degrees before finally finishing his schooling with a Ph.D. He moved to California, while his sister went the opposite direction, and he continued doing research, hoping that someday soon he would have the opportunity to research these strange super humans again. His wish came true when he moved, discovering an entire subculture hidden right before his eyes in the largest cities. Sudhir stayed on the good side of the superhumans involved and managed to get a good job in San Francisco. He made many friends and eventually, he met Lilliana, a Latina reporter with an excellent memory, a strong head on her shoulders, and the ability to manipulate energy. They fell deeply in love and dated extensively before getting married and having a child named Annelise.
Much to Sudhir's delight, Annelise was also "Talented," as Sudhir liked to call it at the time. Annelise's talent piqued Sudhir's interest--after all, his wife had the ability to create objects out of energy, yet his daughter seemed to have no predilection for energy whatsoever. Rather, Annelise could manipulate shadows from a very early age, bringing them to life and creating imaginary friends in this way. She didn't have many friends, after all, and she continued to forge her own into her adolescence.
When the war broke out, Sudhir did everything he could to keep his family safe. No one was harmed, and he stayed in frequent contact with his sister to be certain that she was alright as well. Once things started to die down, he was contacted at work by someone interested in recruiting scientists of his special talents… and disposition. After all, at work he'd been very clear that he believed Pluses were the next step in evolution, and he wanted to be there to see the day that all the different races could live together in harmony. He was less loud about the idea that he didn't believe this would happen so long as humans were still in the picture, one way or another.
After being recruited, Sudhir and his colleagues--some human, some Plus--planned to research the Plus gene in order to replicate it and hopefully progress humanity to its obvious next evolutionary rung who will then live in peace with the rest of the supernatural creatures. Before that comes to fruition, however, the fearful and close-minded humans who will not become Pluses, as well as those that cannot cooperate with the other races, must be destroyed.
