FULL NAME:: Ingrid Maija Svensdottor
NICKNAMES:: Leona, Ingie
GENDER:: Female
ACTUAL AGE:: 322
APPARENT AGE:: Mid-thirties
SPECIES/RACE:: Shifter
PREFERRED PRONOUNS:: She/Her/Herself
SEXUAL ORIENTATION:: Lesbian
FACECLAIM:: Katheryn Winnick
NATIONALITY:: Canadian
HEIGHT:: 5'6
HAIR:: Blonde
EYES:: Blue
SKIN:: Pale
DISTINGUISHING MARKS:: Ingrid has tattoos on each shoulder blade that touch the edges of her shoulders. Both are identical, mirrored, Norwegian Forest Cats, done in black and white, one paw extended towards her arms. They were three-hundred-and-twentieth birthday presents to herself.
APPEARANCE:: At a glance, Ingrid is a beautiful woman, if a little severe in her looks. Her eyebrows are very pale, sometimes hardly noticeable, and angled into what is frequently a glare, her blue eyes not unfamiliar with squinting at someone she detests. Her nose is long and straight, turning up at the tip just a little. Often times her mouth is set in a firm line, thick lips pale like the rest of her, but when she genuinely smiles it's warm and inviting. A political smile, one given out of the requirements of respectability or social conventions, doesn't drip in the sarcasm she so wishes she could supply - instead, it is genial but lacking in emotion, and never meets her eyes.
Despite being accustomed to high positions in society and the polished smoothness an upperclass lady should always possess, Ingrid dislikes being polished and smooth. She prefers to wear her long, blonde hair in messy braids and tousled tufts, with any number of braids adorning her head. Sometimes she arranges them into an updo, but just as frequently they are worn down. If she puts on an alias, or has to blend into a crowd for some reason, she'll get her hair blown out into a sleek, shiny mass of hair.
When she wears clothes, she varies between practicality and comfort. Comfort usually means long, floor-length dresses, often with long sleeves and some decoration. Her dresses and skirts are usually rich colours, warm reds and cool blues. Practicality means pants, rugged enough to stand a week or more in the woods, and leather boots long since broken in. She still wears long sleeves with them, because she tends to wear pants when working, and that means she has to be prepared to awful conditions. She enjoys jewellery and shiny pieces, dotted with small gems.
PERSONALITY:: Ingrid is very good at putting on a mask of genteel elegance and charm. When she wants, she is a delightful hostess or guest, offering pleasant conversation and cool grace to any function. That, however, is not her primary self, just a façade she slips into as necessary. In reality, Ingrid is a fierce warrior and protecter of those she cares for. She does not trust easily, and it is a long, hard battle to gain her confidence in you. As such, she can seem stand-offish, or cold, difficult to relate to.
But once her trust is gained successfully, Ingrid will lay down her life for someone. As mentioned previously, she is a warrior and not one to take betrayal lightly, meaning that those who she declares to be traitorous end up dead more often than not. To those she considers family or friends, she tends to be social, happily conversing for hours while stretched out on a chaise or curled in a chair.
That relaxed laziness disguises her predatory nature. When she is hunting or on a job, Ingrid is focused and driven, often not stopping until she completes the task at hand. When she has to kill she does so without hesitation or guilt, preferring a blunt blow to the head as opposed to shooting or poison.

SIBLINGS:: Fraternal twin, Erik Svensson (Fate unknown)
CHILDREN:: None
EXTENDED FAMILY:: None
MARITAL STATUS:: Dating
HISTORY:: In 1692, a nobleman of the Norweigan royal court and his wife had a pair of twins. Erik, the elder child by minutes, and Ingrid, the younger, were both loud and cried straight away, but soon as they were placed together, swaddled in blankets and held in Brigit's arms, they settled down to sleep. It would be a good omen of their life for many years. Their father was not a major nobleman; he was just high enough that they had a comfortable home and wealth to keep them well-clothed and happy. Ingrid and Erik delighted in playing together, often ignoring other children as they delved into their own language, a mixture of signs and sounds that made them laugh. They were very close and beautiful children, pale blonde hair and blue eyes that were known among their servants to sparkle with mischief. It was harder for them to be so close as they aged - Erik was being taught how to fight and Ingrid was given lessons on more ladylike endeavours.
This did not suit Ingrid's tastes.
She was far more interested in fighting and weaponry than she was needlepoint, but every time she voiced this she was ignored by her mother. Seeing her unhappiness, Erik volunteered to teach her what he knew, and each night they snuck away to practice. Before long, she was as capable at fighting as he was, and they improved together.
The emergence of Ingrid's powers terrified her. How was she to hide the hooves of a horse under her dress, the gills of a fish with her hair? Erik, as well, faced similar challenges, though he did not just deal with shifting into animals but people as well - when Ingrid woke one morning to find her brother's head on her mother's body, looking less than impressed, she shrieked with both horror and amusement. In time, both became better with their abilities and mastered them together, as well.
At sixteen, she was sent to marry a nobleman. The man bored Ingrid to tears, but she was unable to escape before her marriage. It was miserable, colder and farther North than her home, and both she and her husband ignored each other. When he deigned to acknowledge her at all, if was with insults and hurled comments on her fertility. Erik wrote her, frequently, telling her of heir familial home, his unhappiness with the state of their finances as their father gambled away everything, and, eventually, of their father's passing. Despite her husband forbidding her to leave, Ingrid returned home to visit her mother and brother, though when she arrived the house was in flames. Her mother's body was found in the burned wreckage, but nothing was ever found of Erik. She never saw him again.
Instead of returning to her husband, Ingrid used her shifting abilities to become a dog, and fled into the woods to escape. The thought of going back to the miserable bastard she was married to was awful, and without her beloved brother she couldn't cope with being a human any more.
She spent several years living in the wild as various animals. At one point she watched a lynx for hours and adopted that form, finding it much more preferable to a canine or a bird. That was the start of her happiness with feline shapes.
After that, she wandered through various countries and took various names as it suited her. In France, Ingrid was Angelique DuChamp; in England she was Mary Blythe. Her skill in fighting and her charm born of years in royal courts meant she could blend well into various circles and she frequently worked as a spy. At one point in America, early in the twentieth century, she operated a "health club" and went by Mother Ursula. The town was plagued by a number of deaths resulting from bear attacks - men who had threatened the girls who worked for her, coincidentally.
Nowadays, she is content to spend time with her partner, Maddie, and bathe in the San Franciscan sun between jobs.
